Claudio grew up among the vineyards of the Dao region of Portugal, spending his school holidays helping the local producers with the harvest. He received little money but a wealth of knowledge about turning the humble grape into a blissful drink. He went on to become a passionate, dedicated and service-focused wine consultant and connoisseur with extensive global expertise.


He is an articulate and energetic entrepreneur who delivers new opportunities and bespoke services to significantly increase his clients’ portfolio values. His strategic vision, financial acumen and commercial expertise, combined with his technical aptitude, palate and flexibility, allow him to exceed any client’s requirements.


Claudio is a well-respected and trusted advisor with extensive sales and marketing expertise and a proven track record in building international strategic alliances with third parties, importers and local producers. He has a competitive advantage with his access to lean supply chains, emerging products, and local, regional and global markets.


He has participated as a judge for the Decanter World Wine Awards since 2010, judging for Portugal, Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Asia. He spent several years building a wine merchant business that introduced Portuguese wines to on- and off-trade and private clients in the UK.


After 18 years in London, Claudio spent time developing projects in theexciting markets of Zurich and Moscow and introducing wines from unknown regions from around the globe. He now counts Liber Pater, the world’s most expensive Bordeaux, among his clients.

Carlos Ferreira

Head of Business Development UK & Portugal

Carlos is a passionate, experienced and motivated wine professional with strong flexibility and knowledge on wine and management. He is aproactive, strategic thinker who focuses on customer requirements andmarket insight.


He is a meticulous wine manager, and restructuring and maintaining wine cellars are his key strengths. After a 15-year wine career, he is constantly developing his knowledge by seeking new trends and emerging regions.


Thanks in part to his six years working as a manager at the Don Bistro in the City of London, Carlos has an acute ability to read his clients’ needs and deliver the best service and products.

Liam Steevenson MW

Global Strategy Wizard

The youngest person to pass the Master of Wine exam, Liam has a global reputation for wine production, business and communication. Heis driven, financially focused individual with a passion for wine, the people who make it and the places that influence its quality and style.


During more than 20 years of working with the UK’s leading wine merchants, Liam has built strong relationships within the global wine industry. An excellent communicator, he consistently pushes the boundaries of the wine industry, helped by his ability to see the wider picture without missing the importance of fine detail. After working within the constraints of a large corporate company (Waitrose/Bibendum) and also exercising entrepreneurial skills while running his own companies (RED&WHITE, Global Wine Solutions), he has developed a balanced understanding of commercial needs and business success.


Liam is also a winemaker, working in France, Spain, New Zealand and India to produce his own wine brands and bespoke projects for retailersand wholesalers in the global market.

Marie Von Ahm

Fine Wines and Luxury Expert

Educated in Denmark and based in Luxembourg and Spain, Marie is a specialist luxury marketing and sales entrepreneur with substantial experience in start-up wine businesses, international distribution and media. Her unique skills span several disciplines, including critical winetasting, new product development, brand marketing, business development, education and management.


Marie is a permanent member of the prestigious Grand Jury du Vin, a fine wine ”think tank” and tasting panel comprising the most influentialwine critics in Europe. She has worked alongside James Suckling, tasting wines and writing articles and has also contributed to Danish wine publications Gastro and Fine Magazines.


She is an international wine trade specialist for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and is currently developing an innovative loyalty program, mobile app and e-commerce platform for the largest wine importer in Ukraine. Previously, she worked as the exclusive wine expert for føtex, Dansk Supermarket Group (DK), developing educational and promotional content and SoMe, a wine cluband a loyalty program


A former partner at micro-luxury champagne brand Boërl & Kroff, she is now devoted to the global launch and branding of Angel Champagne. She is the founding owner of Wine Cloth Company (DK), producing luxurious tablecloths with prints of wine regions in collaboration with Georg Jensen Damask.


Marie has worked in the wine industry since a very early age, driven byher insatiable passion for wine and entrepreneurship. She relies on her Wine and Spirit Education Trust Diploma qualification, multilingual skills, wealth of business experience and trusted relationships around the world.

Micaela Martins Ferreira

Marketing & Communication Director

Micaela is a creative and dynamic wine professional with proven expertise optimizing traditional, e-commerce and social media marketing channels. Her flexibility and commercial acumen allow her to balance organizational and client objectives against varying constraints to drive brand awareness and competitive advantage.


She is a strategic thinker and visionary who naturally interprets complex data, customer requirements and market insight; builds collaborative partnerships; and executes high performing strategies. She delivers tangible financial results through increased ROI, profit andmarket share.


Micaela is a proactive and results-focused multilingual leader with the ability to engage with individuals from all cultures, sectors and levels while working to a consistently high standard under pressure, with professionalism and integrity.


With more than 10 years’ experience in London and currently serving as a deputy competition director of the world’s only on-trade wine competition and as part of the UK’s on-trade leader magazine, Micaela has extremely important connections and a vast knowledge of the market.

Pedro Antunes

Creative director, entrepreneur and self-proclaimed dreamer Pedro Antunes is the founder of Sparrow Creative Solutions. A global designerwho ignites movements, builds brands and changes perspectives, he helps businesses, non-profits and governments expand their capacity for impact through design-driven innovation.


Antunes upholds design thinking, empathy and user-centric design as the be-all, end-all. But even then, he believes that one single piece of design isn’t where true impact happens. Instead, he creates comprehensive visual identities that lead whole groups to change their values and behaviors, leading to a better user experience and better business value.


When seeking inspiration, Pedro heads to the water to catch the perfect wave.

Rodolfo Tristão

Head of F&B Consultancy

During his long career in the Portuguese and international wine industry, Rodolfo has created and cultivated with most of the distributors in Portugal and has studied his way through 75% of Portuguese producers and their portfolios, as well as many others around the world. The intimate knowledge means that he can restaurants, hotels and hospitality brands decide which bottles would be a good fit for their projects based on their specific needs. He alwaysadvocates for the restaurant, never for the distributor or producer.


With Claudio Martins, Rodolfo leads private and online wine tastings as educational and entertainment experiences for our clients. He can supply wines from all regions, advise on the perfect appetizer pairing and facilitate interactive conversations with the winemakers themselves.


His Wine Tongue sessions allow our clients to understand the language of wine and develop their wine vocabularies so that they can navigate any restaurant’s wine list. He accomplishes this through a great sensitivity to the essential yet basic understanding of types of wine, regions and specifications.
